When the Martin family moved into their gorgeous family home in Walton on Thames they set about putting their stamp on it.
They knew that the kitchen was going to be the biggest project and after much work around the house, they started thinking about the work on the kitchen.
They had builders extend their kitchen, installed bi-folding doors and a stunning roof lantern, creating a large family friendly and usable space. Mrs Martin said, ‘the kitchen is the heart of the home and we wanted to create a space where we could all spend time together as a family’.
The Martin’s got in touch with Wentworth Design after being recommended by a friend who had already had their kitchen installed by Wentworth Design. Wayne visited their home and talked through the look they wanted and most importantly how they wanted to use their kitchen space. Mrs Martin had originally wanted a contemporary styled kitchen, but after telling the designer that she wanted a grey kitchen, she fell in love with a the more traditional Mereway New English Revival in Cadet and Castle Grey with a Light Ash Carcase.
Mrs Martin said, ‘Wayne made lots of suggestions and we went with all of them. He really knows his products and has a complete understanding of what does and doesn’t work. We are delighted with the hob and the lighting on the shelves that he suggested. He also suggested having electricity sockets around the Island, which means that the children can sit and do their homework and talk to me whilst I’m cooking. Kris the fitter was amazing and everything went smoothly from start to finish. We now have a wonderful family friendly usable kitchen, which we are delighted with. We would have no hesitation in highly recommending the Wentworth Design Team to anyone.’
